LED light therapy is a gentle, non-invasive treatment that uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to support the skin at a cellular level.
Your choice of 15, 30 or 40 minutes.
There's no heat, needles or downtime, and I use it to help your skin look calmer and more refreshed.
It can be enjoyed as a standalone treatment when your skin simply needs some extra care, or added to another treatment to support the skin before or after more active procedures. In my clinic, I'll very often add LED to your treatment because I see it as such a beautiful finishing step, particularly when the skin has been stimulated by laser, RF, skin needling or another collagen-restoring treatment.
I think of it as an important part of the overall treatment rather than just a nice extra.
LED light therapy helps to calm the look of redness, support breakout-prone skin and improve the look of your skin.
Suitable for most skin types, LED is ideal for anyone looking for a gentle, non-invasive treatment with no downtime.
LED is suitable for most people. However, I may ask you to wait if you are feeling unwell, have a fever, have a new or unexplained skin condition that hasn't been assessed, or have recently started medications that can cause light sensitivity. I may also recommend delaying treatment if you have significant irritation or a reaction that needs to settle before we begin.
At Longevity Lounge, we use a professional-grade LED system offering multiple wavelengths, including 420nm, 633nm and 830nm, along with a full spectrum of LED colours. This allows treatments to be tailored to a range of concerns, from breakout-prone skin and redness to overall skin rejuvenation.
15 minutes, $75
30 minutes, $85
40 minutes, $90
Your treatment includes a tailored LED session using our LED system, with wavelengths selected according to your skin and what we're looking to achieve.
The biggest thing I find myself repeating is that not all LED is created equal.
I'm extremely passionate about LED because I've spent years travelling internationally and looking very closely at what actually makes a professional LED treatment effective. It isn't simply a matter of putting a red light over your face. The wavelength, energy output, dose, treatment time and distance from the skin all matter. These parameters can significantly influence how the skin responds.
That's why I'm quite particular about the LED systems I use in the clinic. I want to know exactly what wavelength is being delivered, how much energy is reaching your skin and for how long. Different wavelengths penetrate to different depths and interact with tissue differently, so I select the light according to what we are trying to achieve.
There is an important distinction, however: a home device is not automatically equivalent to a clinical device simply because it uses the same colour of light. The actual wavelength, irradiance and delivered dose need to be measured and appropriate.
Light therapy is science, not simply a beauty trend.
When it is designed properly and used correctly, I believe it can be one of the most beautiful additions to a skin-care and treatment program, and that's why LED has become something I incorporate into so many of my treatments.
Consistency is key. A regular course of treatments will generally give you far more than an occasional one-off session.
Some can be useful, but not all LED devices are created equally. I genuinely believe good LED can become an easy, enjoyable part of your everyday routine rather than something you only do occasionally.
Results vary from person to person.
